\nFull twenty-one years she has striven.’
\nUpon the turmoil of this lifes stage,
\nHandling the life she\u2019s been given.<\/p>\n
\nWhich is surely and only His due,
\nWe\u2019re still able to say: \u201cJenny Symons hooray,
\nThe victory belongs to you\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nThe cleverest of men so told me
\nSaid one: \u201cJust a jelly I see, forsooth\u201d,
\nSaid another: \u201cA cabbage she\u2019ll be\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nWe all got to work with a prayer.
\nAnd we\u2019re able to say, on this happy day;
\n\u201cSome jelly, some cabbage, is there!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nCliff Richard, Bruce Millar and more.
\nShe\u2019s won Cups and Medals, to Wimbledon been
\nAnd cheered Bjorn Borg\u2019s every score.<\/p>\n
\nAnd helped with her spirit and zest.
\nWhen all\u2019s said and done this daughter of ours
\nPuts the rest of us all to the test.<\/p>\n
\nWith courage, persistence and faith.
\nAnd we know in our hearts what she\u2019s so well begun
\nShe\u2019ll continue the rest of her days.<\/p>\n
\nWhich is surely and only His due,
\nAgain we can say: \u201cDear Jenny hooray,
